1. HOW LONG IS THE PROGRAM?
18 consecutive months.
2. IS THIS A FULL TIME OR PART TIME PROGRAM?
At this time only a full time is available.
3. CAN I WORK AND GO TO SCHOOL CONCURRENTLY?
Yes, it is possible. However, it is best to have ample time for homework, studying and rest.
4. WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM NUMBER OF STUDENTS ENROLLED IN EACH CLASS?
10 students.
5. WHERE IS THE SCHOOL LOCATED?
The College is located at 10670 Yonge Street , Richmond Hill , Ontario , L4C 3C9 . It is north of Major Mackenzie Drive and one block south of Elgin Mills Road , next to the Shopper’s Drug Mart.
6. IS THERE PARKING?
Yes, there is ample space for students, instructors and administrative staff. There is no fee for parking.
7. IS THERE PUBLIC TRANSIT ACCESS TO THE SCHOOL?
Yes. Buses run north and south on Yonge Street to the Finch subway station.
8. CAN I APPLY IF I AM NOT FLUENT IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE?
Yes, applicants are considered on an individual basis.
9. WHAT HAPPENS AFTER MY APPLICATION IS SUBMITTED?
Your application will be carefully reviewed. Within 1-2 weeks of receipt of your application and documents, you will be notified whether you have met all the requirements for admission to the College. If not, we will let you know about any missing items or further steps that need to be taken.
10. WHEN CAN I BEGIN TO PRACTICE MASSAGE THERAPY ON MY OWN?
After successful completion of the CMTO Examinations. Six to eight weeks after the CMTO exams you will receive a letter stating whether you have passed or failed. If you have passed, the CMTO will send you a registration package. When the CMTO receives and processes your registration package, you will receive your license number, which will enable you to practice Massage Therapy.
11. HOW MUCH DOES THE COLLEGE OF MASSSAGE THERAPISTS CERTIFICATION EXAMS (CMTO) COST?
$950.00 in total.
Multiple choice written exam is $325.00.
Oral Practical exam is $625.00.
